The project transforms a garage, in a kitchen, dining room and living room, to which is added a bedroom with 4 trundle beds. The reason, to enjoy the views of the garden after transforming the original openings of the garage, 2 narrow windows, in a wide stained-glass window, for which a difficult structural support had to be necessary.
The owners wanted to preserve the paving of stoneware tiles, which is found throughout the house, with 3 floors. This has forced the use of certain rusticity strategies to reconcile the general, unequivocally modern treatments used with the pavement.
The garage door has been preserved, lined on the inside with a rustic wood covering and thermally insulated. In this way it is not different from the other houses of the urbanization, with identical finishes. The house is located in a rural core of the pre-Pyrenees.
